History of the Vancouver Blue Bus

In the past, our mobile Food Bank and Soup Kitchen operated every Monday night in a parking lot off Seymour Street in the downtown core of Vancouver. We served hot soup, sandwiches, coffee, juice, and dessert to approximately 200 people plus. While getting a hot meal, people could receive groceries and clothing. By providing the immediate physical needs, this outreach built relationships and ministers to those on the street. This outreach went a long way to helping people change their lives and become a contributing part of society. Volunteers came out on a Monday night and helped us feed the growing number of needy people on the street.

The Times & Places were:

  • Monday Days – met at 12:00 pm for food preparation at the Lifeline Campus, 3451 #4 Road, Richmond, BC.
  • Monday Evenings – met at 6:30 pm at the Gathering Place (609 Helmcken Street, Vancouver), serve food in Seymour Street parking lot at 7:30 pm.
  • Monday – Saturday – met at various times to sort clothes, supplies and groceries at the Lifeline Campus, 3451 #4 Road, Richmond, BC.
