Community Impact Report: Lifeline Outreach Donations
Launched in November 2025, the Lifeline donations have become a welcomed support system for families within our community. This includes members of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church, families of Aldergrove Christian Academy and Awana kids club. By providing consistent supplemental support of essentials like groceries and baby care items, this program is helpful in alleviating the financial strain on families in our current economy.
With the weekly donations we serve approximately 50 to 80 individuals each week. While numbers fluctuate, the core impact is significant:
- ACA Families: Roughly 20 families with young children, including many immigrants; single and dual-income households, who struggle to bridge the gap between their income and the rising cost of living expenses.
- Young Families: who are members of the Rose of Sharon congregation are grateful for every bit of help with high-cost baby essentials, like diapers and formula, which are often the most significant monthly expenses for young parents.
- Youth & Seniors: Families that participate in the Awana program and seniors that attend Wednesday night Bible Studies appreciate that little bit extra each week. “Every little bit helps” is a phrase heard often.
The families served are mostly hard-working, middle-class households. Despite being employed, many struggle to bridge the gap between their income and the rising cost of living. This ministry has made a “noticeable difference” in their monthly expenses, allowing them to reallocate funds to other necessities.
The feedback we get is very positive; participants often share that they look forward to the weekly distribution as a high point of their week. The impact is both financial and emotional.
To conclude, these weekly donations from Lifeline represent more than just material goods; they provide a sense of stability and community care for those working hard to provide for their families in a challenging economy.
